About Department

   The department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (AI and DS) is established in the Academic Year 2024-2025. This is a 4-year degree course approved by AICTE, New Delhi under Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University
   AI is an interdisciplinary science with multiple approaches to build smart machines capable of performing tasks that typically require human intelligence. Data Science (DS) is an umbrella term for a group of fields that are used to analyze large datasets.
   The curriculum of AI and DS is includes core subjects of Computer Engineering with skills like Math & Statistics, Domain and/or Business Knowledge, Big Data & Visualization etc . AI & DS domain is considered one of the most lucrative jobs in the industry right now. With numerous openings spanning across all sectors, data science jobs are showing only the signs of growth.
   The department Of AI & DS is pillared by the qualified and experienced faculty and backed by the student centered teaching learning processes.
   The student will be studying basic science and standard engineering subjects along with programming tools required for data science in the first year. In the second and third year, they will be specializing in data science-related topics, along with the required computational mathematics and statistical skills. The core subjects taught include fundamental subjects from computer science along with data analytics, cloud computing & management, machine learning, big data, and deep learning. In the last two semesters, students will specialize in the particular domain area of their interest by studying domain-specific subjects
